When the CSIs find a woman swallowed whole and killed by a gigantic snake, they uncover a covert drug smuggling operation. Evidence leads Horatio and the team to a drug smuggling operation where large snakes are suspected of be being used to bring illegal drugs into the country to avoid detection by customs. However, when Horatio finds that Clavo Cruz, a nemesis of Horatio's who hides behind his diplomatic immunity, may be behind the operation, the team must find a legal way to put the criminal behind bars. Meanwhile, Wolfe must find the truth when two women each claim that they are the real victim of identity theft and the other is the culprit.

(Alexx and Eric discover the snake they caught was packed with drugs inside)
Eric: So our snake was a mule. (edit) (Horatio and Eric question Clavo Cruz)
Eric: A quarantine exemption makes it easy to pass anything past customs.
Horatio: And by anything Mr. Delko means drugs. (edit) Det. Tripp: A friend identified her as Tanya Furman from Chicago, here to celebrate her 21st birthday.
Horatio: She won't have a 22nd, will she?
Det. Tripp: Her friend said she came down to drink mojitos and catch some sun.
Horatio: Well it looks like... something... caught her. (edit) Frank Tripp: (Talking about the killer snake) So we know how it found her. How do we find it?
Eric: Well, unlike humans, snakes don't go far from the scene of a crime… (edit) Frank Tripp: What the hell are you doing?
Eric: (Catching a giant Boa hidden under a sun bed) Apprehending the suspect. (edit)

Goof: More on snakes -- the anaconda is the only snake large enough to swallow a small human; but only one exceeding a length of 25 feet. The large live python seen in the beginning of the episode might be able to ingest the arm of the dead victim, but certainly not the head. The animatronic/CGI/dummy seen later does resemble a boa but from the distance shown, it's hard to say for sure. As for the slime trail, anyone who has ever owned a snake knows they are anything but slimy. However, a slime-like substance can be seen on the rare occasions when they regurgitate.
(edit)
Goof: When Clavo is arrested, we see the police officer handcuff him. When we cut to the wide shot, however, he is not cuffed.
(edit)
Goof: The snake in this episode is obviously patterned after an anaconda, yet they identify it as a boa.
