A woman is killed during a party at a Star Island estate when a man opens fire on the proceedings from a cigarette boat. When a former con is arrested, he acts as his own lawyer and proves to be smarter than he appears. Complicating matters is the fact that the leading witness in the case is the dead woman's young son, who Horatio wants to protect, refusing to let him testify.

This is the first case after Timmy's death. A bit of argument between Calleigh and Eric in the middle of the case. While, a boy lost his mom during the shooting. The boy knows the face of the murderer but he has psychological reaction to his picture. H tried to protect the boy to prevent him being a witness. WHile another body found, the driver. Party host might be a murderer? Eric and Calleigh has to found further information as H requested. Will the boy then brought to the court? Since the report is written as 'witnesses' Yulina is in danger! WHo killed the driver? A great ending!
A shoot out happens at a party and the boys mama is shot in the time trying to save her son. They had a drive-by Miami style. She was killed by a single gun shot. Stevie thought that this was his fault. The little boy saw the shooters face and identified him from mug shots. Stevi got so scared he urined on himself. H kept the little boy out of the report so he wouldn't be brought into the case. The witness was found dead int he prision before he was transferred. The drivers blood was found ont he boat. The driver was dumped. The shooter had tunnel vision and shot the driver by accident.

And I will admit that he had me fooled a bit
But he appeared as smarter as he seemed to be

An interesting episode this, one I am still not certain about 24 hours after watching it! I thought the story had too many holes in it and some points made absolutely no sense at all. Horatio protects another child in the episode following the murder of his mother at a fashion label’s water front party. Champagne glasses and bullets fly as an ex con opens fire on the party with the sole intent of killing a number of party goers.
You have to laugh at the way Horatio talks to the children he comes up against, he seems to change his persona and only has one thing on his mind, to make sure the kid is safe and the murderer brought to justice. With the death of Speedle in last week’s episode, you’d be forgiven in thinking a reference however small would have been made but it appears he and his character have been thrown to the great crocodiles in the everglades and will never more be mentioned!
IAB detective is once again involved, this time giving us a timely reminder about his relationship with Horatio’s sister in law, much to Horatio’s disappointment and anger. Why on earth did he not put the kid in a well guarded safe house? The whole “leaked information” on the whereabouts of the kid didn’t sit right either. Come on, the blonde court clerk looking after the main con couldn’t fight her way out of a wet paper bag but somehow put two and two together when she overheard a conversation regarding an addition witness (the kid).
I did have to laugh at the con defending himself after spending three years in the prison law library!!! He did a good job but he was aided my manipulation of some of the other main characters! Why wasn’t the blood tested on the shirt when it was found rather than 50 minutes into the programme?!
All in all, worth viewing but not one of the best episodes I’’ve had the pleasure to watch.
Haratio saves another boy hide show
What is it with Haratio and little boys? , last week episoide he rescued a little boy from crododiles and this week he kind of protects a boy from being killed after he witness the person who was shooting at people , what i found intresting is that the boy survived, that was pure luck. Still you got love the fact they said drive-by shooting Miami style, i didn't know each states had style?.
Don't you love when bad guy think they so smart they can defend themselves in court?, i just knew at the end he would get caught, not matter how fancy his suit at the end of day he is a criminal, he's quite smart guy but it shame he doesn't know how to control a machine gun, techinically all he had to do keep the gun in one position while driver drive by, the fact he moved it from side-to-side caused him to accidental kill the driver. That was a stupid mistake.
Haratio face when he saw Yasmin new man was priceless, he really needs to get over it, if she can move on with her life so should he.
