Stella is the victim in this case, not the CSI.. hide show

    I love the episode!!!!

We see Stella in one of her weakest moments and I just have to say that Melina Kanakaredes does a really good job. All the fealings she conveys: fantastic!

And sure I love how Don takes care of her. He really is a great friend. What my jealous mind remembers best is, of course, the cheek-kiss at the end... Lindsay yelling at a suspect and completely losing her nerves; Danny there to calm her down: great! Their chemistry is something the viewer cannot miss! I love it.

The Kid Rock case was fine, but naturally not the top priority.

Sure Stella wanted to prove at the end how strong she is, but I thought it a good move to show her weak, that she can't stay in that apartment. Who could and who blames her? No one I think.

This episode also shows that the connection between the CSIs and Don is amazing: they all care for Stella and are worried about her. They are not just colleagues but real good friends.

    I love the episode!

    Great Episode.... hide show

Kid Rock actually did okay. I was surprise. But getting to the cases. Melina was excellent in this epsiode. Showing her vulnerability as well as frustration in the situation she found herself in, abused and scared. But her strength showed through it all. I loved the scenes with Stella & Flack. Knowing there was a job to be done but wanting to help his friend through this terrible event, he handled it with class and compassion. Mac being the protective one but also wanting to find answers handled the case personally. Lindsay & Danny finding themselves working the murdered limo driver due to Stella's situation. Lindsay's frustions in wanting to help Stella but being unable had Danny dealing with the blunt of her anger. Danny growing into the role of leader brings her back into focus. The final twist was murderer being a struggling singer.

    Amazing episode. hide show

This has to be one of my favourite episodes to date. I loved the A case, Kid Rock was a good guest star, and Danny and Lindsay both acted on it very well. However, it was Stella's storyline that made this episode special.

Stella is one of my favourite characters, and I think this was acted incredibly well by Melina Kanakaredes. I literally winced when I saw her all beaten up, and the way they pieced together the storyline with testimony and evidence was really well done. Regina Spektor at the end, love that song, and I was actually in tears.

Really interesting character development and great to watch.

Stella Isn't The Perp - She's The Victim hide show

In this facinating episode of CSI:NY, Stella is attacked in her own apartment by her boyfriend. Since I started watching NY, I always found Stella to be my favorite character. This episode really developed her and let us see how she handles these situations. I found myself more concerned for her than the limo driver in the Kid Rock case.

An amazing episode!!! The death of a limo driver and Stella's boyfriend! hide show

This was one of my favorite episodes. I liked how it started off with Mac and Lindsay investigating the crime scene of the murdered limo driver. Then as Mac is leaving he hears a call of a shooting with a possible officer involved. They rush to the scene and find Stella unconcious in a room with her boyfriend, who was shot to death.

It was nice to see Flack staying with Stella in the hospital. It was also nice to see Lindsay being concerned about Stella when she blew up on the suspect and left the room. Lastly, I loved at the end of this episode when Mac was being so nice to Stella and he said he would check her into the best hotel with a nice view.

My favorite line in this episode was when Danny and Lindsay were interrogating a suspect and Danny said kinko-poodle instead of a kinkojue. It cracked me up.

The killer of the limo driver, turned out not to be Kid Rock but the girl in the beginning that gave him the CD. I didn't expect it to be her. Stella's case was very interesting. Her boyfriend, Frankie, was following her after she broke up with him. Things got out of hand back at her apartment when Frankie tied up Stella and hit her. She got dragged to the bathtub, and as soon as Frankie left she grabbed a razor in an attemp to free herself. This was a gruesome scene as the razor cut up the tips of her fingers. Then she grabbed her gun, but Frankie tackled her to the ground and got it. He went to shoot but it didn't go off, and Stella grabbed it and shot him 3 times.

  • Goof: Stella tells Flack that Frankie had never been to her place before. However, in 2x10 Jamalot, she's on the phone with someone (most likely Frankie) making plans to meet at her place. []
  • Goof: The beginning of the episode and the flashback show Stella's front door being busted in, ripping the back of the frame out. But when she comes back at the end of the episode, before CSU has a chance to clean up, the frame is fine and she is able to lock the door which she wouldn't be able to do if the door had been kicked in like that. []
  • Stella doesn't let men in her place so her place will be safe to go home to. []
