Grissom: I tend not to believe people. People lie. The evidence doesn't lie.
(edit)
Sara: You're standing in my crime scene.
Nick: No. (shows his I.D badge saying he's a level 3) You're in mine. (Nick smiles and turns to walk out of the house)
Sara (envious): You're doing audio? I wanted that.
Nick: I outrank you.
Sara: Technicality. Who did Grissom handpick to work here? (edit) (The team finds the location of a kidnap victim)
Mr. Garris: You guys have got to move! Grissom: Mr. Garris? It's my experience that in situations like this, if you want to go fast, go slow. (edit) (about a hit and run case)
Catherine: All we got is some paint that's going to match about twenty million other vehicles.
Warrick: Yeah.
Catherine: Bastard. (edit) Sara: Excuse me. Is my evaluation interrupting you?
Grissom: No, no, no. I barely heard you.
Sara: Glad I have a healthy ego. (edit)

Brass: Oh yeah Kreskin, what's that?
This is Brass's response to Grissom telling him he already knows what the boyfriend has to offer, and is a reference to 'The Amazing Kreskin' a mentalist and magician, who claimed to be able to foretell things. (edit) In the scene where Sara is in the confiscated SUV with her wrists bound by duct tape, she asks Grissom to cut the tape off by saying "Cut me Mick." That line is an allusion to the scene in the Academy Award winning movie Rocky where Rocky Balboa tells his trainer Mickey Goldmill to open a cut over his left eye in the hope that it will allow him to open the eye which has been swollen shut during his fight with champion Apollo Creed. (edit) The title, "Crate'n'Burial" is a play on the title of the housewares store chain, Crate and Barrel. (edit) In the opening scene a woman is shown starting a cigarette lighter. When she looks around and realizes she's in a crate, she screams and cries. A similar scenario is used in the "Grave Danger" episode. (edit)
