Hodges: Doc told me to tell you, your last vic, the one all pretzel-ed up in the oven, lividity's fixed, dead two days.
Grissom: Before the Cadillac was found.
Hodges: Ah, and I got trace analysis on the sample Phillips collected on Chicken Johnny.
Grissom: And?
Hodges: Alginate and Plaster of Paris, a combination used to make dental impressions. And... you don't even seem to be the teeniest bit surprised.
Grissom: I'm not. (edit)
(Mickey Dunn is waking up in the hospital)
Catherine: Let me give you a hint: You're not in heaven. (edit)
Catherine: Thank god I blew you off when I didn't know any better. (starts walking away)
Mickey: Sam Braun's daughter. (Catherine turns towards him) You think I would ever forget a face? That face? Ask yourself what force on Earth would've kept me from your soft, teenage graces. Only one, Daddy.
Catherine: Sam Braun stopped you?
Mickey: Sam always said that if I ever touched you, he'd tear me apart. That took a big pair to say that to me, he said that you were family. Still, now he's gone. We could always give it a go.
Catherine: You're not going anywhere. (edit)
Catherine: Chainsaw. Sound familar?
Mickey: You get to be my age all kinds a things ring a bell.
Brass (showing him a picture of the 'ghostrider' Eddie Sanchez): What about him? Any chimes?
Mickey: That's a good lookin' boy. But as the poet said: (taking off his beard) "It ain't me, baby."
Catherine: Mickey Dunn.
Mickey: Back from the dead. (edit)
Grissom: Our Mexican Fisherman signed his television release form "F. Krueger."
Catherine: Freddy Krueger. Nightmare on Elm Street.
Archie: The karoke singer was Michael Myers. Halloween.
Catherine: Parts 1-9.
Archie: Yeah, but our hotel killer was Pamela Voorhees.
Catherine: Friday the 13th?
Archie: No, that's Jason. Wait, Jason was the sequel, Pamela was the killer in the original. That's the question that tripped up Drew Barrymore in Scream.
Catherine: Yeah, and look how far it got her.
Archie: You watch slasher flicks?
Catherine: With Lindsey, I do. They never get the spatter right.
Grissom: All I know, the master of all scary movies was Lon Chaney Sr., the man of a thousand faces, and that's what we're looking for. (edit)

Trivia

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
Another slasher movie, this one from 1974. Mickey Dunn's license plate, "CHAINSAW", is most likely a reference to this movie. (edit)
The hood ornament on Mickey Dunn’s Caddie was a .38 Deringer Pistol. The Mexican fisherman claimed to have pulled it out on his fishing line, in which we all know was a hoax. But the pistol was found inside the car by Greg in the lab’s garage. How did it get broken off and make it under the front seat? (edit)
Goof: Near the end of the episode during the flashback of the crime, Mickey Dunn's car is pushed into the water. A cable can be seen trailing behind the car, most likely to make it easy to pull it back out later. (edit)
Goof: When Mickey Dunn is singing karaoke, the words he is singing don't always match up with the words scrolling across the screen behind him. (edit)
The photograph used to show the mob hit that brought down Mickey Dunn is an actual photo of the corpse of Bonanno crime boss Carmine Galante, who was gunned down in July of 1979. (edit)

Allusions

Mickey: That's a real good looking boy!

This is the title of one of the Who's songs, Real Good Lookin' Boy. (edit)
Warrick: Mickey Dunn and his pal Jimmy Hoffa are in hell some where laughing their asses off.

Jimmy Hoffa was a noted American labor leader with ties to the mafia. Jimmy Hoffa has 'disappeared' since 1975. No theory has been proven and his body has never been found. Hoffa was declared legally dead and a death certificate issued on 30 July 1982, seven years after his disappearance. (edit)
Greg: Apparently Mickey wanted to go down in a barrage of bullets like Sonny in The Godfather.

The Godfather (1972) is about an aging father of an organized crime dynasty transfers control of his clandestine empire to his reluctant son. The Godfather is considered one of the best movies of all time. If not the best. The scene in which Greg is talking about is when Don Vito Corleone's (Marlon Brando) a.k.a "The Godfather" son Sonny, has received a call from his sister, Connie. His mother initially answers the phone and hands it to Sonny in which he demands she (Connie) wait there; he's on the way. Sonny's furious and out the door he goes not knowing his death by a barrage of gunfire awaits him at the toll booth. (edit)
Catherine: I was 16, Jaws was sold out. So I went looking for trouble. Found Mickey Dunn.

Jaws is about a gigantic great white shark that begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist and grizzled fisherman set out to stop it.

There are many references to various slasher movies in this quote:

Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) Freddy Krueger is a child murderer who stalks the children of the lynch mob that killed them in their dreams. The Nightmare on Elm Street series was made into about 7 movies.

Halloween (1978) Mike Myers is a psychotic murderer who has been institutionalized since childhood escapes on a mindless rampage while his doctor chases him through the streets. The Halloween series ran about 10 movies.

Friday the 13th (1980) is about a series of grisly murders at Camp Crystal Lake. Pamela Voorhees is the killer in the original, Jason, her son takes over the killings throughout the rest of the movies. Friday the 13th has about 7 movies in it's series.

Scream (1996) is about a psychopathic serial killer is stalking a group of teens just like in the movies. In the movie, Drew Barrymore's character dies within five minutes. (edit)
