Quotes

(Sofia jumps right in and starts helping Warrick and Warrick looks confused)
Sofia: Swing's tapped out. So, Catherine asked if I could lend a hand.
Warrick: Thanks. (edit)
(Sara knocks on Grissom's door)
Sara: Hi, you got a minute?
Grissom: Sure
Sara: We really haven't had a chance to talk since the staff changes. I...ah, I wanted to let you know that I said some things to Ecklie that might have done the team a disservice.
Grissom: Ecklie wanted to break up the team and he did.
Sara: He asked me if you and I had our post PEAP counseling session.
Grissom: And we didn't. Regardless, you should never have to cover for your boss. I'm sorry.
Sara: You've always been a little more than a boss to me. (pause) Why do you think I moved to Vegas? Look, I... I know our relationship has been a little complicated, it's probably my fault, it's probably definitely my fault.
Grissom: You, uh completed your counseling, right?
Sara: Yeah. Yes.
Grissom: And...?
Sara: Let's just say that, sometimes I look for validation in inappropriate places. (brief pause)
Grissom: Look, let's... um...
Sara: It's okay. Okay. You know what we, we did our session. Don't forget to document this for Ecklie.
Grissom: Right.
Sara: Thanks. (edit)
(looking at a university degree on the deceased's wall)
Catherine: Gang-banger girlfriend with a degree?
Nick: Sounds like a rock band. (edit)

Trivia

add »
In the "Snakes" episode (1/13/05), the CSI team identified a tire as a Toyo Open Country MT, when it was in fact a Goodyear Wrangler MTR. These tires would never be retreaded. (edit)
When Warrick Brown removes contents from victim's wallet, the $100 bills clearly say "For Motion Picture Use Only" on them. (edit)

Allusions

add »
Sofia: Off we go into the wild blue yonder.

This is the opening line of The U.S. Air Force the official song of the United States Air Force, often incorrectly referred to as Wild Blue Yonder. In this case Sofia was more than likely indicating the bullet had disappeared beyond retrieval. (edit)
In this epsiode one of the suspects claims to be a descendant of Joaquin Murietta the Mexican Robin Hood. Nick says that the Mexican Robin Hood ended up being hanged but this is incorrect. Murietta is a real historical character who robbed Californians in the 1850s and who was never irrefuteably "proven" to be dead. Bounty hunters claimed that he died in a shootout and brought in a head that they claimed was his. Many of his victims agreed but the head was his but his sister denied it and the head was eventually lost in the Great San Francisco earthquake. (edit)
