I'm starting to get sick of Cheryl. Her only real environmental contributions is telling Larry how to spend/earn his money. She tells him what kind of car to drive. She tells him what kind of toilet paper to use. She tells him which car insurance to use. She tells him which television networks he can/can't work with. And she throws an occasional "environmental" party. Why doesn't she just get a job, and use her earnings to contribute to her organization in a more real and direct way.

I agree. And I really hate how she always goes out of her way to inform a third party about something Larry did that she may not like or agree with. Like last week she made it a point to let Loretta Black know that Larry had an altercation with the dean of admissions at the ice cream parlor. She always fans the flames like that.

Yea she's annoying sometimes I guess but she's not really that bad. I just figure she's initiating conversation and what better way to do that than bringing up something stupid that Larry did

Why would a woman whose husband made nearly a quarter-billion dollars from a TV show get a job? That makes no sense.

A Woman that wasn't a gold-digger, or maybe a woman that had a strong work ethic might consider it. I like Cheryl, but her contributions to the environment go no further than telling Larry how to spend his money.

Yes, Cheryl is annoying and it doesn't help that Cheryl Hines is, in my opinion, the weakest link in the show. Her comedic chops are very limited and it's usually very obvious when she's improvising, because she's not very good at it.

Being annoying is her job. Larry's character needs that dynamic. Every naughty school boy needs a strict mother.

I'd like to renew my hatred for the gold-digger Cheryl. I just saw the episode where she left him. What a beotch! Well at least Larry doesn't have to pretend he cares about the environment and piss away thousands of dollars a year on Cheryl's stupid environmental quirks.

Larry has always been the way he is. Cheryl knew that about him from the very beginning. She's leaving because (like most women) she figured out that she can't change him.

I use to not like her at first. But as I watched more episodes I started feeling sorry for her cause she has to keep up with Larry, haha. Now I wouldn't mind taking her out for dinner

I never really cared for her character. The only thing she ever had going for her, IMO, was shiksappeal.

Agreed. Sometimes you can almost see the wheels turning as she struggles to think of something to say.

I don't mind her, and she's nice to look at. That being said, I wonder if she'll be back.

I've never liked her character. She is very demeaning to Larry and has never really seemed to be in love with him. That being said, I found great satisfaction at the end of 6x10.

...and the entire Black family seems to offer Larry their unconditional love and support despite all his blunders and flaws. After all, he is more often than not a victim of circumstance, something Cheryl never seemed to acknowledge.

I would really like to see larry with vivica. She brings a new dimension to the show. Plus she is the right woman for a guy like Larry. Cheryl never backed him up or supported him and he is not a bad guy. Just mistaken consequences that get him in trouble. I always thought it was weird his wife didn't back him up. She really didn't seem to love him in most episodes, she was always complaining, taking others sidesor attacking him. I think vivica is a much better mate for him. That is not to say that cheryl was not a great chracter, but its about time she got the boot. His divorce is good for him. Cheryl woudl be a horrible wife for any man. She has her good aspects like her respect for the environment and her virtue, but she slams on Larry like he is a bad guy. Not once have I thought to myself he is a bad guy. AT times I think he may be selfish, but then I think "good for him". So many of the social pacts he gets slammed for breaking needed to be broken, and Cheryl never backed him up. It was good for the writing, but bad for a wife. Still she made the episodes funny by being so awful.

She's annoying sometimes, but, really, even if she loved Larry for who he is when they first got together, there aren't many women who would tolerate someone like him (and vice-versa). I love how he says exactly how he feels and usually thinks about the most rational solution for everything, but most people would not be able to stand living with or being a close friend with someone like that for too long. Larry does and says most of the things we wish we could do in front of everyone else, but instead we have to keep it inside or risk being a social outcast / hated by everyone. Just as the tagline says, "Deep inside you know you're him".

Don't get me wrong, I like Larry a lot, but I can understand why Cheryl would be annoying sometimes. But I will say...I am glad they are separated (at least for now), and that Loretta is with Larry now, because she is a far better character compared to Cheryl.
