The first Season was released years ago on DVD by alliance atlantis. It was an ok set but it was quite expensive (I remember seeing it in store for 70+ dollars CAN).

Now Acorn Media released the first season at the end of this February. I want to but it but I haven't yet seen it in any store. I usually get my DVDs from Futureshop or HMV but neither in Halifax has it.

Has anyone seen it in store? what's the price like? We fans should buy it so the rest of this superior series is released on DVD. If I can't find it in store I'll probably order it.

I believe the Acorn Media new release of Season 1 is for the U.S. only, as it's partnered with Premium Partners, the syndicator of the show.

Could be wrong on that though.

Hi.  Amazon.com is selling season 1 for about $45 (us).  Blockbuster video also stocks it and you can get it online for about $50 (us), or $44 if you are a blockbuster member.   I'm in florida, so I don't know if you have blockbuster video up there, but I know they sell it online.  Good luck!

I find it odd that I can find Acorn's release of slings and arrows, which was a Canadian show, almost everywhere by Da Vinci's no whwere. We do have Blockbuster up here, I'll check that out.
