Where do I start... Glenn Close is fantastic! hide show
There's no need to say it again, but I will. Glenn Close is fantastic. She's the main reason I decided to watch this show. It's a beautifully written drama about attorneys and criminals and about the difficulty to know the difference between them. It's a hight voltage show about loyalty and trust, and about lies and betrayal. The first season was a simple perfection, some episodes were not very intense, but most of them made me forget to breathe. The second season was not as brilliant as the 1st one, but still very very good.
Glenn Close is a real queen of the show, her character is not a fairy godmother, but there is no single person in this show who is. There are no 100% good or 100% bad guys, but there's Patty Hewes and I stick to her.
Pretty good. Pret-ty-pret-ty good. hide show
So I just started watching this show with the start of season 2, thanks to the recomendation of a few trusted friends. Glad I made this discovery, because I think it's one of the best under the radar shows out there right now.
Ever she scared the bejeezus out of every living man in Fatal Attraction Glenn Close has always had my attention. She gives one of her most gripping performances of the season in this episode...and I can't believe she's not getting more recognition.
Finally, I thought this episode had some great music. I was ecstatic to hear the song "Said So What," by one of my favorite bands, The French Kicks, in this episode.
You look around at shows now a days and you see the same old crap. Normally boring shows about crime scenes or hospital dramas and you may be mistaken that this is one of those shows but if you give it the time of day you will quickly realize that this is something speacil. The show is much more darker than most Crime dramas and the writing is excellent. Episode structures are quick in story telling and contain some flashbacks this helps the story unfold in a clever way and sometimes we get a odd flashforward where we begin to look forward to what will happen later in the season. The best thing about this show is the acting from the actors it is perfect. The cast is awesome there is so many great actors in this series it's like watching a movie. all in all Damages is great TV 9.5 out of 10.
That's right...sometimes we may want Patty taken down but isn't she the Best ? The Best lawer, the best mother & husband ? Honnestly she can't be hurt... hide show

Finally, the most realistic scenari is that Patty turned the gun on Ellen's body... therefore i don't think the blood is Patty's one. Even if she seems falling down in the elevator : it's just an illusion... she's probably just shocked.
Because why doesn't Ellen go out of the room? Or why does she let Patty escaping ?
This is the most exciting episode in this season at the moment... !
Let's discover (a part of) the truth tonight !
Enjoy...
Fast-paced, sexy legal thriller - but not as good second round hide show
Damages is back for a second series and while it is still as fast and complicated as the first series, it is less cohesive and tends towards less believable twists. Rose Byrne continues to do well - she was brilliant in the first part of the first series as a young lawyer - a lamb fed to the wolves. But she transitioned from young and fresh to old and bitter too quickly in the second half. My lawyer friends tell me that before they get cynical and jaded they usually go through an exhausted period of self-blame and doubt. In the second series, Byrne does less of a job at making Ellen believable. Parsons is angry and regeneful but Byrne seems not to register the stress that working in such a place, under such conditions would have for a young lawyer - indeed for most lawyers. Glen Close continues to be brilliant - although her "I am shocked" acting tends toward hyperbole. Tate Dawson has less screen time and hasn't changed from his ineffective lackey take on his character.
