Dan recently left the CBS network after 44 years as an anchor and reporter.

He has gotton into a bit of trouble. While anchoring the CBS Evening News he claimed papers that he obtained records of George W. Bush's shaky service in the Army including but not limited to several AWOL's. Later the records were confirmed false and he apoligised on television.
