Celestina has been having a difficult time juggling work and her boyfriend Todd.
When a last-minute audition for an Ashlee Simpson concert in Las Vegas surfaces, everyone flocks to Millennium for a chance at the job. Meeting up with Jersey before the audition, Celestina shares some of her recent relationship woes.
Jersey comes up with a quick fix to Celestina's problem and invites her and Todd to the Carnival dancer's showcase she'll be performing in at The Key Club.
During the audition, Celestina and Jersey both make it through the cuts to the final group of dancers. Ashlee's choreographer, Teresa Espinosa, former Janet Jackson primary dancer and choreographer, videotapes the final parts for Ashlee to watch. Later, while reviewing the audition tape, Ashlee says she is particularly impressed with Jersey and Celestina. While on her way to rehearsal at Carnival, Jersey gets a call from her agent informing her that she's been booked for Ashlee Simpson's Vegas show.
Meanwhile things are still looking bleak for Celestina's love life, and it's beginning to get her down. When she tries to make plans with Todd after one of her rehearsals is canceled, he tells her he's already made other plans, and Celestina realizes she is alone at Millennium, with no one to console her.
Later, Celestina finally gets to spend some time with Todd. Over dinner she begins to tell him about Jersey's invite to the Carnival. Not being a dancer, Todd is skeptical, saying he would rather go to a basketball game. He however agrees to keeping an open mind about it.
In the middle of their meal together, Celestina receives a phone call from her agent informing her that she has also been booked for the Ashlee Simpson concert. While that would normally be good news, in order for her to accept the job, she has to cancel a weekend trip to San Diego with Todd. Although he says he understands why it's important for her to cancel, he comes across very disappointed.
While she's packing the next day, Todd begins to tell Celestina that he's upset that they haven't been spending enough time together. She tries to explain to him that her schedule will always be determined by the dance industry, and that she cares deeply for her career as well as him.
That weekend Celestina and Jersey arrive at the rehearsals for the Ashlee concert together. Ashlee is there to greet them personally and take them through the rehearsals for her song "L.O.V.E."
When the girls get back to L.A., Jersey heads straight from the airport to rehearsal for Carnival. Midway through as Jersey steps out of practice for a breather, choreographer Phlex speaks to Jersey concerned about her not being able to keep up. Jersey tells him that she has a lot on her mind, but that she will not let her personal problems affect her performance.
While Jersey is trying to get herself together, Nolan and Blake are also preparing their own performances at Carnival. When Blake's group takes a break from practicing, he sticks his head into Nolan's studio to eyeball the competition. After a slight confrontation between him and Nolan, Blake reports back to his group saying that they have nothing to worry about because, in Blake's opinion, Nolan's group is nowhere near as good as theirs.
Todd surprises Celestina when she gets back to L.A. by purchasing the tickets to Carnival performances at the Key Club.
At the show, all three groups blow the audience away with their distinct performance forbidden
