Daniel Dae Kim gets busted on suspicion of driving under the influence; Jin-Soo Kwon next to be killed off?

**Warning: Spoilers for those who have not seen seasons two and three are at the bottom of this story**

Call it Jin, shaken and stirred.

Daniel Dae Kim, the actor who plays Jin-Soo Kwon on ABC's hit Lost, was arrested early this morning in Honolulu, Hawaii, on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to The Honolulu Advertiser. The actor posted bail and was released shortly after 5 a.m. local time.

As he left the police station, Kim--with hair grown out longer than Lost fans may remember--held his head down to keep his face away from the swarm of media that had assembled outside. Police have not yet released full details of his arrest.

Getting busted for traffic violations is nothing new to actors from the hit ABC show, which films in Hawaii. Actresses Cynthia Watros and Michelle Rodriguez, who starred on the show as Libby and Ana-Lucia Cortez, respectively, were both arrested for drunk driving in December 2005. Actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played Mr. Eko, was arrested in September 2006 for driving without a license and disobeying a police officer. The charges were later dropped.

[Spoilers begin here] But here's where it gets interesting: The May 3, 2006 episode of Lost, titled "Two for the Road," saw both Rodriguez's and Watros' characters killed off. One month after Akinnuoye-Agbaje's arrest, his character was killed off in the episode "The Cost of Living."

These coincidences have certainly become a hot topic in the Lost community. The timing of arrests and character deaths have created superstitions, and made some lunatic fans (like me) have started hair-brained conspiracy theories about Lost show-runners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse staging some sort of metaexperience with the show to blur the real world and the world of Lost.

TVGuide.com scoop-master Michael Ausiello claims that the show will kill off a major character in the first half of the fourth season, which begins in February. What do you think, is Jin next to get axed?

To kill Jin off at this point would be waaaay too predictable. Us fans have caught up with this writers' gag, so I am hoping it does turn out to be someone else as a means of surprising us. To kill of Jin wouldnt really surprise us at all. And I do agree, I'm amazed at how many celebrities are getting DUI's. Arent these people rich enough to afford their own chauffers or taxis?

Well yes I guess it's like a stigma (you get busted by the police, you die on the show), my only hope is that since Jin's an original cast (if I'm not mistaken all members that were killed becuz they got busted in real life joined the season later) and the writers would be lenient or at least give him another season. I don't even think Jin's character is fully developped yet....

I think they will trick us and count Charlie as next season, yet I still think he is alive for some reason. Maybe Locke, he was in bad shape at the end of the season, but then again so was Sawyer at the end of the first season and he made it through. They might because of the DUI who knows, I guess we will have to wait and see.

Jin's character is nixed. Looks like Lost producers are slowly but surely de-diversifying the cast. Hey cast members, you live in Hawaii, surrounded by beaches, is it really that hard to call a taxi or just walk your drunk ass home? I have no sympathy for the cast whatsoever.

Naughty, Naughty - Will they ever learn???

It's so easy to not get arrested for a DUI. Just don't drive drunk! When will people learn to not be idiots? Also: The only good reason to kill a character off as a result of a DUI is if they're going to be getting some jail time - ending their time on the show is a harsh punishment!

Does everyone on this show have a drinking problem? What is he the third cast member to be arrested for a DUI?

I think they're going to kill Desmond. Lets face it, His part is over by predicting that the losties will get rescued.

I REALLY hope they don't kill Jin. Dae Kim's character is awesome, and his part on the show is well written. If that wasn't enough, Dae Kim's performance is outstanding.

LOST cast likes to drink... either that or they 0.0 blood alcohol admittance levels in Hawaii!

It's drunk driving in Hawaii. Who are they going to hurt other than themselves? Besides, what else is there to do in Hawaii other than to get smashed and lay on the beach? Also, they're not even filming right now.

In fairness, there aren't as many cabs in Hawaii. They have to drive everywhere, and if they have a few social drinks, they may think they're still under the limit but unfortunately, they aren't

Well, I'm glad it was him and not Evangeline Lilly or Josh Holloway, if Jin gets killed, that's ok with me and Sun can finally be with Michael :D

Well this puts Jin at the top of the death list for sure. I don't want the character to be killed off exactley butif he does go then i won't be too bothered. I still wish they hadn't killed of Patchy

I would honestly say that there is a better chance of Sun getting killed off than Jin, and if they die, I bet they die together. Sun dying would be an absolute shocker with her being pregnant, and would further conceal the mystery of the island and their pregnant women for another season or two. Not a big fan of their characters, but they've made it this far, I'm in favor of them making it through til the end.

well first off all these actors are so stupid they have the moniy to hire a driver but they dont and that is stupid and i hope he stays on the show

Maybe they should just kill the show instead, the producers and writers certainly did that already after season 1.

There is no way they can kill off Jin, with his baby coming in seven seasons, or Sun dying in two.

Maybe celebrities just shouldn't be able to drive. Trade in your license when you get a SAG card...

Hmm...Perhaps if more shows and movies killed off characters and fired actors for misbehaving then more actors would behave better. Keifer, are you listening?

I agree with Vital_Shot. If Jin died, I don't think it'd make much of an impact on the show. However, I could be wrong.

Actually I think If Jin were to Die which I though he might of in The Finalie I think it would be neat since Sun would have to raise the baby alone and if Sun were to have flashforwards it would be her alone and maybe hiding from her Father so many possibilities with her Character Oh Yeah Jin why drink and Drive?

Mm, he didn't really add anything to show, in my opinion. I don't think it would affect the show any.
