One of 12 children raised in Colorado, Daniel McVicar originally came west to study at California Institute of the Arts, and in Hollywood studied with Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Paul Sills and Stella Adler. He also studied in a Shakespeare Intensive at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. He has worked in a variety of projects in the United States and Europe. He just completed his third miniseries in a year, with "Il Bene e il Male" or "The Good and the Evil" directed by Giorgio Serafini, "L'Ispettore Coliandro", directed by the Manetti Bros, and "Innocenti e Buonadonna" directed by Giulio Manfredonia.
Earlier projects in Italy have included miniseries with Gina Lollabrigida, Ben Gazzara, and appearing as the cult comic hero "Diabolik" in the award winning cult video clip for Tiromancino alongside Claudia Gerini as Eva Kant.
A member of Mensa, he has been able to pick up enough language to work in Russian for Dimitris Astrakhan's film "The Fourth Planet."
As a director, his short film "Always a First Time" was shown out of competition at the Salento Film Festival.
His work in the new media includes being an original host of The Vloggies, creator of The McVlog, and producer and creator of the award winning show and community LateNiteMash. The LateNiteMash featured more than 50 original web shows and had over a million views, combining music, celebrity interviews and community generated content.
