Danny Kamekona: Biography
Danny Kamekona was one of Hawaii's most famous actors. His most prominent role was Sato, the villain in The Karate Kid, Part II.
He was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. He was of Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Hawaiian ancestry. He attended the Kamehameha Schools, the University of Hawaii and Brigham Young University Hawaii.
After BYUH, he went on a Mormon mission to Osaka, Japan, for three years where he met his wife Michiko. They had a son, Leigh Scott, and a daughter, Vera Lei.
He appeared regularly on television shows such as Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I., and Burke's Law.
