David Bradley was born in Yorkshire. He pursued a career in acting in 1971 and found his first role on Nearest and Dearest. He continued to find success on various shows and was awarded a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 1991 for his supporting actor role in King Lear . Most recently David has been seen in the Harry Potter films in which he plays Argus Filch.

David: (On Argus Filch his character in Harry Potter) I was worried that I would become a hate figure for children. But they're always nice. I think it's because Filch is a bit useless. He's not too scary because he's actually scared of the kids at Hogwarts. Poor man, he's horrible but misunderstood and taken for granted!
