Dawson: I don't want to close my eyes.
Joey: Why?
Dawson: I'm afraid you won't be there when I wake up.
Joey: Close your eyes. (edit) Joey: I used to be afraid of so many things: that I'd never grow up, that I'd be trapped in the same place for all eternity, that my dreams would forever be shy off my reach.
It's true what they say: time plays tricks on you. One day you're dreaming, and the next your dream has become your reality.
And now that the scared little girl no longer follows me wherever I go. I miss her. I do.
Because there are things I wanna tell her: to relax, to lighten up, that it is all going to be OK.
I want her to know that meeting people who likes you, who understands you, who actually accepts you for who you are will become an increasingly rare recurrence.
Jen, Jack, Audrey, Andie, Pacey and Dawson, these people who contributed to who I am, they are with me wherever I go. And as history gets rewritten in small ways with each passing day, my love for them only grows.
Because the truth is it was the best of times. Mistakes were made, hearts were broken and harsh lessons learned. But all that has receded to a fond memory now.
How does it happens? Why are we so quick to forget the bad and romanticize the good?
Maybe is because we need to believe that the time we spent together actually meant something, that we were there for each other in a time in our lives that defined us all. A time in our lives that we will never forget.
I can't swear this is exactly how it happened, but this is how it felt. (edit) Audrey: Who the hell is Eve?
Jack: Long story. Ambiguous ending. (edit)

Audrey is helping to film Dawson's movie by playing the role of Ms. Jacobs. However, she is in the midst of Summer School at Worthington (she mentions how boring the classes are). It's not likely that she would ditch her classes since her academic standing is in jeopardy from missing almost an entire semester previously.
(edit)
When Joey and Dawson are laying on his bed talking, Joey shifts from staring to him to staring straight up in way too fast transitions for her to have actually moved her head.
(edit)
When Jen and Grams are talking on the porch, they ask Dawson if their cab has arrived and he says no. While they are saying their goodbyes to everyone the cab has arrived, and when they are finished saying goodbye, Grams, Jack and Jen walk to the cab and get in to leave for NYC. What happened to their luggage? It's not carried to the car.
(edit)
After helping Dawson shoot his movie Joey finally goes to Paris.
There is one shot of her in front of the Eiffel Tower, the place where Katie Holmes got engaged to Tom Cruise. (edit)

The episode title, Joey Potter and the Capeside Redemption, is taken from the 1982 Stephen King's shortstory entitled Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, which was the basis for the 1994 movie The Shawshank Redemption.
The book in which Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption was edited is the same book in which Apt Pupil can be found. Joshua Jackson starred in the movie version of that shortstory. His character's name in the movie was Joey. (edit)
