As a Homecoming Queen, Jen is asked to help Miss Freckling, who is the oldest living ex-Homecoming Queen, organize the special annual party for the all the ex-Homecoming Queens. At first, Miss Freckling acts very bossy, and Jen feels like not doing it at all, but then Henry, who happens to be Miss Freckling's neighbor and only true friend, shames Jen into helping the poor old woman, who doesn't have much in her life, except for that very special event. So Jen agrees to help with entertainment, and also names Henry her date for the party. However, she does everything her own way, inviting a drag queen quartet and choosing not-so-classical music. But Miss Freckling, albeit shocked at first, still enjoys the event after all. She tells Jen to be nice to Henry. Later, Henry tries to kiss Jen and tells her he's in love with her. However, Jen rejects him, citing the age difference and the fact that, at the moment, she isn't ready for any romance at all. Henry feels really hurt.

Pacey helps Joey at Bessie's new business establishment. Andie calls Joey and asks her for help. Joey and Pacey rush to the rescue. Andie cries and tells them that Rob tried to rape her. Pacey punches Rob and tries to console Andie, while they are alone. Andie makes a very emotional plea, saying she still loves him and wants him back. Pacey says no, but finally gives in and kisses Andie. Next morning, she cheerfully asks him if he feels the same way she does, and he says yes. Meanwhile, Rob tells Joey that Andie's accusation is a lie. Joey tells Andie about Rob's words, but Andie just gets indignant. Later, Andie visits Pacey, who is working on his new boat, but Pacey tells her last night was a mistake, and that they are not right for each other. Andie cries and leaves. Then, she accuses Joey of telling Pacey about Rob's counteraccusations. Joey says she hasn't told Pacey anything. Andie starts crying and virtually admits she did lie. She says she's determined to get Pacey back at all costs.

Gale, who was a Homecoming Queen in high school, comes to Capeside to attend Miss Freckling's party. Dawson escorts here there. At the party, he inadvertently learns that Gale was fired from the network in Philadelphia. However, Gale doesn't want to move back to Capeside. Nor does she want to talk to Mitch -- but does so after all.
