In a story that replays the same day's activities from three different perspectives (as in the 1999 movie Go), Joey and Pacey vacillate on the ways to tell Dawson about their feelings for each other. But when the truth does come out, Dawson's reaction is the one they hoped they wouldn't get. Meanwhile, Andie, who thought she was over Pacey enough to date, accepts a date with Capeside visitor Will, but their first date is ruined when she also learns about Joey and Pacey. • Goof: Although the same scenes and dialogues are supposed to be used, there are slight differences between acts 3 and 4.

-At the end of cct 3, when Dawson confronts Joey and Pacey about their relationship, he says to Will and Andie: "Better yet, ask Joey. Ask her how long [she's] been lying to me and to you.". During this same scene in Act 4, Dawson says: "Better yet, ask Joey. Ask her how long [the two of them] have been lying to you and to me.". In act 3, Dawson also says: "Go ahead ask them, because I can't [stand to look at them]." But in act 4, he changes it to: "Go ahead ask them, because I can't [even stand to look at them anymore].".

-The way these two scenes were shot also differs.During act 3, when Dawson is done talking he storms back into his house alone. However, in act 4 Joey follows him close behind. edit »
  • At the beginning of the episode, Joey and Pacey are kissing in the boathouse in front of a window that looks over the dock where their friends are waiting to christen the True Love. It is not very logical that they weren't a bit more careful not to be seen. edit »
  • When Joey is leaving Dawson's room and climbs out of his bedroom window, her microphone wire can be seen. edit »
  • Dawson finds out about Pacey and Joey being together. edit »
  • This episode replays the days events from three different prespectives just like the 1999 movie Go, which also starred Katie Holmes. edit »
  • Music featured in the episode included:
Matter Of Time by Jennifer Parsignault
    Thank You by Dido
    Miss Fortune by Eagle-Eye Cherry
    Mend by Jann Arden
In Your Keeping by Jann Arden edit »
  • Joey: I just wish I were more like you. You feel things, you act on them. Pacey's like that, too. Fearless.
Jen: I'll let you in on a little secret about the so-called fearless: we're not as tough as you think we are. Pacey's heart is just as breakable as the next guy's... maybe even more so, considering it was already broken when you got there. edit »
  • Joey: So what's the problem?
Andie: He's... He's not Pacey. Pathetic. I know. I know. And I thought I was over him. I really, really did. But then I bumped into him a little while ago, and... I mean, technically we're friends, right? And that's how I played it. But then it's, like, when I saw him, every irritating/adorable thing he ever did flashed before my eyes, and... I mean, that's the true test, right? When you just bump into somebody... and if you're not over him, then boom! Floodgates. edit »
  • Jen: She wants to be with you Pace, she does.
Pacey: And you know this how?
Jen: She told me so this morning.
Pacey: Why am I not happy to hear that right now?
Jen: Well, because right now you got to walk in that front door and tell your best friend that the only girl in the universe he can't live without...
Pacey: ...is the same one I can't live without. edit »
  • Doug: (Walking up) Alright, here's the deal. There's an apologetic, yet some what incoherent message on the machine for you from someone named Nora. Seems she got confused, thought you had him for the day, now she's stuck at work and can't get free till this evening.
Pacey: Speaking of work... you're not on duty today, are you?
Doug: (Picking up Buzz and handing him to Pacey) Oh, no, no, no little brother. This juvenile is your responsibility. edit »
  • Jen: Hell of a day, huh?
Dawson: I have no desire to rewind it and live it again if that's what you mean. edit »
  • When Joey goes to tell Dawson about her and Pacey, he is watching The Last Picture Show, a movie about a guy who loses his girlfriend to his best friend. This is also the same movie Dawson and Joey saw on their first date. edit »
