this is just what i think a good spinoff would consist of now that all our degrassi students have grown up and graduated....

CHARACTERS- Emma, Manny, Sean, Liberty, Spinner, Paige, Jimmy, Ashley, Craig, Marco, Ellie, Toby, and Jay.

Premis- Emma, Manny, and Liberty are all going through their sophomore year at Smithdale. Craig and Ashley experience life on the road and new found celebrity. Marco, Ellie, and Toby all attend U of T. Paige is attempting to get up in the fashion world. Jimmy decides to defer a year so he can travel to Europe for his stem cell surgery and returns with amazing results. While Spinner, Jay, and Sean enter the working world.

    Ep. 101-102

    - Emma and Manny start their semester off at Smithdale alienating Liberty, whom they've grown apart from due to her hard partying ways. Liberty soon shows that her new friends are continuing to wreak havoc at school with wild parties and carefree lifestyle. Liberty's drinking soon begins to worry Emma and Manny, when Liberty learns her child has become very ill while with his foster parents. The deadly illness pushes Liberty over the edge and the girls begin to think things have gone too far.

    - Paige is thrilled when she is put as assistant to do a photoshoot with hot new recording artists Craigh and Ashley. However, when Paige shows her unprofessionalism while being around her former classmates, she is fired and left without a job. Paige soon begins to think that becoming Craig and Ash's manager maybe what she is better at..... Also, Sean returns to town to begin a new life post army. Life seems to be going well until Sean begins to get mysterious letters that seem to be threatening.

    Ep. 103

    - Craig and Ash begin to tour, along with Paige. When Paige realizes their first city on the tour rings a few bells, she decides to look up Alex. When going to visit Alex, the two realize that not only does Alex have a brand new life as a Secretary for a wealthy business but she is also engaged to be married. When Paige meets Alex's new fiance, she feels threatened and wonders if giving Alex up is what she really wants.

    - Marco decides that he wants to get involved with a gay rights rally at his school. However, when bigatory and hate arrises, Marco begins to think that he must go through any lengths to stand up for who he is. Marco is soon introduced to a group of students at school who devise a plan to stop hatred no matter what. Meanwhile, Toby decides to join the paper at U of T, but Ellie becomes irritated when he shows signs of leadership more so than her. She also becomes a bit jealous that the staff soon thinks Toby maybe more qualified as editor than Ellie herself.

    Ep. 104

    - Spinner is tired of working at the Dot. With Jimmy still recovering from his surgery, he spends most of his time at work or at home. Life takes a turn suddenly when he meets a new girl that maybe a lot more than just a friend. Spinner begins to think that this girl is perfect for him but he is soon going to learn that perfect may come with a price....

    - Emma, Manny, and Liberty return home for a weekend. Emma of course makes seeing Sean her first priority. When the two begin to hang out, she becomes curious over the many mysterious letters Sean has been receiving. Things become even more strange when Emma returns to school and feel as if she is being watched and never alone. Also, Liberty is pressured by her family to quit school and enter rehab for alcoholism.

    Ep. 105-106

    - Marco's involvement with his new group of friends begins to scare Ellie. Marco becomes transfixed on being heard and getting bigotry out of his school. When a club fair at U of T is held, ignorance and hate strikes again on jewish club that Toby is apart of. Marco and his friends soon decide to catch the culprits of these crimes and give them what they consider is right. However, when Marco learns weapons are involved, how far will he go for his lifstyle to be accepted. Ellie and Toby bond over the school issues taking place at U of T.

    - Ashley returns home to get her diploma finally. She decides to have a small get together at her house celebrating the moment where she finds herself getting too tipsy and friendly with an old fling- Sean. Meanwhile, Craig becomes jealous of Ashley's flirtacious attitude with Sean and decides to play her at her own game and pretend to be interestd in Paige. Meanwhile, Spinner, his shady new girlfriend, and Jay decide to go apartment hunting.

    Ep. 107

    - Manny decides to attend an acting class close to school. When she attends the class, she is introduced to the very handsome and very friendly acting coach. The coach soon takes an interest in Manny as she does him. Before she even realizes what she's doing, Manny is kissing him on his doorstep, not knowing that he is married with 2 two kids. When Manny learns the truth, she decides to keep their relationship a secret and continue it....

    - Emma decides to call Sean and inform her of the mysterious letters she's been getting. When Sean reveals that the letters come every other day with no return address, they soon begin to think that either a sick joke is being played or someone has it out for them.... but why THEM? Meanwhile, Marco awaits the outcome of his fate at U of T for being involved in the beating of another student for sticking up for his religious views. Also, Jimmy goes to visit Trina, whose surgery took a very bad turn.

    Ep. 108

    - When Craig decides that his jealousy over Sean and Ashley is something he needs to get over, he soon takes an interest on just his career. When a new agent advises him that its best that he go solo, Craig must once again decide if giving up Ash is a good idea. When Paige advises him to not let go of Ash, Craig becomes too confused over his career that he begins to look for a way to de-stress...meaing coke.

    - Ellie is offered to be the host of a new school sponsored tv show, which means quiting the paper. Ellie decides to give it ago but has issues addressing the recent riots at her school over antisemism and homosexuality. When she feels her bosses are pressuring her into not giving her own opinion, Marco and Toby become upset over her loss of pride. Also, Spinner learns that his girlfriend maybe the dealer to Craig's old cravings.

Just a few to get started...I'll continue if you'd like... I think I would entitle the series "T.O" or something like that....

I think that this should definitely happen and they should have a spin off show because Degrassi is kinda getting boring now with all of the new, unoriginal and unexciting characters!

That's actually a really amazing idea!!! I think you definitely should approach the writers about that to see if the cast would be interested. No lie, that's really friggin great! Especially since Degrassi had clearly taken a turn for the worse in the past few seasons... KUDOS 2 U THO!!! That was amazing!!!

i think it has to do with work visas and such. its just much less of a hassle to hire someone whose already canadian i guess... but for some reason i still see that as being kind of discriminatory also! i would love to write for that show... but only if it were with the original characters
