    10 Perfect

Degrassi is a show that follows high school and college students throughout their lives. Its a drama that can leave you in tears or laughing. It is almost impossable to stop watching! hide « show »

Degrassi is a show that is filled with well developed characters that its almost impossible not to grow attached to. Since season 1 the characters have gone through tragedies like breaking hearts and friendships, death and rape. It is an amazing show that keeps you wanting more. The story line is well developed and thought through thoroughly. One can relate to the students at degrassi very easily since they go through similar problems as the average teenager. Not only can it be seen as a drama out as a comedy too. The characters have humorous personalities which keep you laughing. Even though it is funny some episodes leave you in tears. This show is well developed and should continue.

    9 Superb

One of the best shows currently on television. hide « show »

This hybrid soap opera dramatic series is one of the only great teen shows on television in my opinion. I really admire the character development and the real life situations that each of the characters go through from junior high school to even college. I enjoy the characters of Spinner Mason and Jimmy Brooks. These characters have been great friends in this show and have been through many different events in life. The episodes with the Emma, Sean, and Peter love triangle were very well done. I miss JT Yorke. He made the show very interesting, but the show still is good and one of the better teen shows for this generation. The plot and character development make Degrassi amazing. Sure, some critics argue the series has gotten stale, but eventually many great shows do like the Simpsons and even Seinfeld.

    7 Good

This show used to be great...now is going downhill pretty fast. hide « show »

What happened to Degrassi? I used to love their plotlines, now is just really Blah! The original cast was amazing, Page, Ellie, Craig and Marco made this show, now is all pretty boring and they changed the cast really fast. Season 5 was the last good season and a little bir of six but not enough to save the show. I don´t really know what´s gonna happen next, I really don´t watch it anymore.

Writers should come up some fresh stories, there had been great storylines and I really don´t get what are thy doing now. Oh Degrassi where have you gone?

A teen drama that you can actually relate to hide « show »

If you're the kind of person who likes shows like gossip girl, Degrassi may or may not be for you. But if you're the kind of person who wishes that real issues aren't just ignored by most TV shows then Degrassi is defintly for you.

Degrassi: the Next Generation is a sequal to a few other similar shows in the eighties. Basically it's all about high school characters' relationships and more importantly there issues: there issues that could actually be what you're facing. Issues like cutting, adoption, abortion, mental illness, anrexia, abuse, sexual orrientation, relgion, rape, school shootings ect. The show features a large cast, each character is intersting and 3 dimensial. When the show gets TOO intense, there's always a little light hearted sub-plots that is just as interesting as the main plot. Although degrassi has gone downhill lately since a few characters graduated last season and thier replacments are yet to live up to expedations, the upcoming Degrassi (made for TV?) movie (featuring some of the older characters) will defintly assert the perfect 10 rating I'm giving this show.

    4 Poor

Marco's character has Just went Sour ever since season 5 hide « show »

I thought this episode could have been a whole lot better if they made him sleep with one or two guy's and mabey towards the end he would realise that it was wrong.I loved the Marco and Ellie interaction (I love her sarcastic and quick 1 liners.)I just think that they have him casted as the gay guy and nothing else.I mean I know its gonna be a struggle for him his whole life,But you would think that they would give marco more than one plot..I mean after all when paige was Bi she was also having panic attacks and end of season 7 may have contracted Aids.as well as earlier on had gotten raped, dealed with drugs and such..i just dont know why they always throw marco the short end of the stick. The B-Plot was just boring, i liked manny and jays chemistry in "we got the beat" but i just find their relationship way to off..their just way to different for eachother.
