One-on-One: Linda Ellerbee The Varsity: Jay Thomas, Doug McIntyre, Yxta Maya Murray Take 5: Rick Overton Rorschach Extra: Linda Greenhouse
Dennis Miller (the show) was one of CNBC's first forays into entertainment and part of its larger goal to become a 24-hour network. Low viewership finally killed the program. ("McEnroe" was a follow-up attempt that lasted even shorter, barely 6 months, and even registered a 0.0 rating one week.)… More Dennis Miller added a live audience in its second month and adjusted its format and content periodically during its run. It included segments like "The Daily Rorschach", "The Cathartic Screed", "The Varsity Panel", "Cut to the Chase", "Take a Stand" (usually with a single sponsorship), and various one-on-one guest segments called "First-Up", "Take 5", "One-on-One", and the "Rorschach Extra". Generally there were about 6 guests per show ranging from political to social to entertainment with governors, an ex-president, senators, congresspersons, authors, actors, producers, directors, comedians, athletes, musicians, chefs, reporters, consumer advisors, and others.

I started watching Dennis Miller with the Pilot, and I thought it was good. Over time, my love for the show could only grow. By the end of the first season, I was obsessed and tried to hook everyone I could find to watch with me. Everyone that agreed ended up loving the show, and their reasons were varied.
