LOCATION: Foreign Office, London
DATE: February 16th.

A plane carrying a British MI5 agent explodes over the English Channel. Witnesses on a boat crossing the Channel see the plane explode and are certain no one survived. Sir Curtis, however, is confident the agent jumped from the plane prior to the explosion, and sends the Department out to find the agent. The Department’s activity catches the interest of Russian agents, who are also certain the agent – who was also working for the Russians – is still alive. Add a recap »

  • GOOF: Stewart is seen in two scenes smoking, but in the episode "Who Plays the Dummy" he says he doesn't smoke. edit »
  • The footage of Jason King jumping from an airplane is actually Peter Wyngarde. The footage of him jumping from a plane was used in this episode and in "Handicap Dead." edit »
  • Landlady: He was terribly devoted to his mother.
Stewart: He has a mother somewhere?
Landlady: Well, we all have one somewhere. edit »
  • Stewart: Wait a minute. If Harvey jumped out of that plane before it blew up, then he must've known it was going to happen.
Sir Curtis: Good. Would you like another highly significant fact?
Stewart (chuckling): Yeah, I'm just crazy about highly significant facts. edit »
  • Stewart (after interviewing witnesses to the plane's explosion): Satisfied?
    Sir Curtis: No. He jumped.
    Annabelle: You mean by parachute?
Sir Curtis: Well, he'd hardly be alive if he'd jumped without one.
