Derek Thompson met his wife, Dee Sadler, when she appeared as Maggie, a cave explorer, in an episode of "Casualty" (1986) in which Derek plays Charlie Fairhead. Charlie rescued Maggie when she was trapped underground after suffering a fit. (edit)
