Desi nearly got into a fistfight with Frank Sinatra over the depiction of Italians as mobsters on The Untouchables, a Desilu production. (edit) Desi Arnaz is responsible for the re-run. Before "I Love Lucy" TV was taped with kinescope. Desi suggested film, which allowed for re-runs. (edit) For a long time during the marriage of Desi and Lucille Ball, they hid the fact that they were six years apart in age. Lucille was actually six years older than Desi. They hid this by Lucille saying she was born in 1914 when she was actually born in 1911, and Desi saying he was born in 1914 when he was actually born in 1917. (edit) Desi was married twice. He was first married to Lucille Ball. They were married on November 30, 1940 and divorced on May 4, 1960. They had two children together, Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr.

Desi married Edith Mack Hirsch on March 2, 1963. They were married until the death of Edith in 1985. (edit) Because of the 1933 Revolution, his father ended up in jail and his family lost their wealth, property, and power. (edit)
