Devo is an American Rock group formed in Akron, Ohio in 1972.

DEVO consists of Mark Mothersbaugh voice and synth keyboards, Gerald V. 'Jerry' Casale voice and bass, Bob Mothersbaugh 'Bob1' guitar, Bob Casale 'Bob2' guitar and synth keyboards. And over the years on drums Jim Mothersbaugh 1974 - 1976, Alan Myers 1976 - 1985, David Kendrick 1986 - 1990 and most recently Josh freese 1996 - present.

Devo recorded the song "Jocko Homo" specifically for a short film that Mark Mothersbaugh wrote and directed. The film/song made its television debut on Saturday Night Live in October 1978.

Arguably Devo's best-known song is their 1980 single "Whip It," which has been featured in countless TV commercials and movie soundtracks.
