Dita upset PETA by admitting her love of the French delicacy foie gras, which is the engorged liver of ducks and geese. PETA is upset about this because the process of preparing this is very cruel for the animals, which consists of force-feeding the birds pipes that are shoved down their throats every day and pumping up to four pounds of grain and fat into their stomachs. (edit) Dita sued Erotica Limited in 2008 after the British company failed to pay her the full amount for two shows she performed at the Erotica Trade Show in November 2007, only paying her half. She's also claimed that the company used her name and image to promote the 2008 event. The lawsuit was settled in the end of March of 2008, and Dita was payed her full amount. (edit) Dita was European entrepreneur Richard Lugner's special guest to Austria's 2008 Opera Ball. Lugner, who brings a different female celebrity as his special guest every year, admits it was his daughter who convinced him to bring Dita, after she attended a Marilyn Manson concert. (edit) In 2008, Dita sued Cynthia Butler, a dominatrix in Los Angeles, because she stole half of the rights to Dita’s 2001 movie Slick City, which was made with producer Bob Zahurak. Butler attempted to take her share of the film’s profit when she took over Zahurak’s company following his death. (edit) Dita posed nude on t-shirts designed by Marc Jacobs in 2006 to raise money for skin cancer research. (edit)

Dita: (on the best thing about her divorce from Marilyn Manson) There's a long list of things. I am happy to have the drugs out of my life. I took my engagement diamond and had it transformed at Christian Dior in Paris into a beautiful ring. It's nice; it's big. I feel like I suffered greatly for that diamond, and it needed to be reborn into something better. (edit) Dita: I don't think the word "stripper" is a bad word. I was a failed ballerina, so I found a way to satisfy my dreams and to be a performer. (edit) Dita: The British are really quite kinky. I love being in London because it has a great heritage of burlesque. They were the first girls to wear fishnet tights and lift their skirts and, by all accounts, they were very sexy in their G-strings. (edit) Dita: I had a cat as a child and it had seven or eight kittens so I understood from a young age that it mattered to me where these babies went. You have to be responsible not just for your pet but for any animals your pet will produce, so I've always spayed and neutered my pets. (edit) Dita: (on working with PETA but not giving up wearing fur) PETA's totally aware of me. I'm not working with PETA to tell people to be vegetarians or to stop wearing fur. I am there to strictly speak about spaying and neutering your pets. (edit)
