Doogie gets a date with a Laker Girl, but discovers it is not a match made in heaven. He cannot stop thinking about Wanda.

Vinnie and Janine convince Doogie to ask Wanda to the prom. Doogie is impressed by a young girl with a strong will to live who is awaiting a heart transplant.

Doogie and Dr. Howser decide to perform medical work in the poor villages of Honduras for their annual father-son vacation.

Doogie and Wanda cannot find any excitement in their relationship and try to find the source of the problem. Meanwhile, McGuire and Spaulding finally get together for a date and really hit it off.

Vinnie cheats on Janine. Janine winds up in a passionate kiss with Doogie. Raymond meets his estranged father at the hospital.

Vinnie's film school assignment is a video essay entitled "Who Am I?"

Vinnie is nervous about being accepted to film school. Doogie is excited that the Hollisters are finally having a baby.

Doogie and McGuire engage in fierce competition for the "Resident of the Year" award when they become the two top contenders.

Vinnie convinces Doogie to enroll in an acting class. Enlightened by the experience, Doogie decides he has been on the fast tract too long, and decides to resign from Eastman and travel abroad.

Wanda returns home from school and is unhappy that her father has a new girlfriend. Vinnie is upset over the fact that he is short.

Vinnie falls for - and hits it off with - a pretty blind girl whom Doogie is treating. But when her eyesight is restored, the girl is no longer attracted to him.

McGuire resigns from Eastman and joins the Physicians Flying Service, where he feels his work will be of greater importance. Meanwhile, Doogie is frantic to find a date for the annual hospital dance when Michele dumps him.

Vinnie is selected as a jurist in an assault case. Doogie is shocked to discover that a respected doctor at the hospital is a fake.

When Vinnie discovers that Janine is enjoying herself alone during spring break in Palm Springs; he drags Doogie along to confront her.

Dr. Howser, despondent that the six-year study he has completed is strikingly similar to one already published, decides to retire from his practice.

Mrs. Howser gets a job as a patient advocate at the hospital, and Doogie and his father have mixed feelings about it.

Doogie becomes the focus of a series of caricatures drawn by a newspaper cartoonist who is diagnosed with cancer.

Janine's parents think she is going to college every day, but in reality, she has dropped out and is working in a department store.
