  • In this episode, Sully realizes Abigail is the past, and decides to get on with his life. This leaves the door open for Michaela to come into his life as more than a friend! edit »
  • Michaela: (referring to picture of Abigail taken out of her old trunk) What are you going to do with it?
Sully: Give it all to Loren. (begins to walk away)
Michaela: Sully? Stay for dinner? We have a lot to celebrate.

  • Loren: You wrecked all the plans I had for Abigail, they were my plans not hers and I come to see that after a time but I was too proud, I couldn’t tell her.
Sully: She never stopped loving you.
Loren: Not even after I disowned her?
Sully: No, She knew you well. (Loren reaches for something, but doubles over in pain) What is it?
Loren: That envelope. No, no, don’t open it now, don’t open it until tomorrow.
    Sully: I don’t want nothing.
Loren: Why do you got to be so darn stubborn?
    Sully: Same reason you do.
Loren: Keep it. Go on now, get out of here.

  • Colleen: Nobody likes me; I got no friends
    Michaela: That’s not true.
Colleen: At Sunday school they make fun of me.
    Michaela: Why?
Colleen: I guess because I always know the answers.
Michaela: I know how that is. When I was your age they used to call me a bookworm I was far too serious. Let me tell you people who are popular when they’re young often grow up to have very dull lives and people who are different they go on to be successful and make wonderful contributions!
    Colleen: Like who?
Michaela: Well, Like uh, like Abraham Lincoln.
Colleen: Yeah, they shot him! (cries)
