Eileen Townsend, an international banking executive, and her two sons, Max and Chris, arrive in Europe. Max is obsessed with vampires, while Chris is a typical teenage boy.
The boys live with their Uncle Gustav Helsing and his ward, Sophie Metternich, while Eileen is away on business. Gustav is the decendent of the famous vampire hunter, Dr. Van Helsing, from the Dracula novel.
