What I am looking for are some courtroom dramas which focus on criminal cases, and have a strong focus on the courtroom. The closest thing I have seen to what I want is a show called "The Practice". I know it has a sequel, but the sequel focuses on things I find boring. Another good legal drama I would say is the original Law and Order. The detective part is crap but I love the courtroom part in the second half.

Basically I want to see an over zealousattorneybackdooring weird motions and getting away with it just barely to get convictions or to get their clients off. I am dead tired of detective shows, but I want to see the courtroom more.

Have you seen a show called Shark? It fits all of your criteria and I personally found it to be interesting.

Although it was cancelled 3 years ago, the show had 38 episodes, and they were all pretty engaging.

    Check it out.

    1. The Good Wife is great. It's probabbly the best legal drama currently still in production.

    2. Suits is another great show, well written and with some really good characters.

    3. Franklin & Bash, also a great show, bit more comedy, but they don't seem to end up in court all that much.

The first season of Harry's Law was great but I've given up on it since they changed it.

Did you ever see Ally Mcbeal? That was great too. It was really quirky which made it stand out.

The Practice was brilliant until the last season. I've not seen Boston Legal or Law & Order, I keep intending to, but I never get around to it.

    Anyway, hope this helps.

Damages, there's not much focus on the courtroom drama, more what happens behind the scenes/ beforehand... but it's really really good.
