I thought I'd start this thread so people can post what their favourite shows are. And this isn't just American shows, I'm from Australia so there will be some Aussie shows thrown in there too.

I guess we'll say top 10 faves so people don't go nuts. Trust me, I've done posts like this before and people went crazy. Not that crazy is bad, everyone needs to be wacko sometimes...

    In totally random order.....

    1. NCIS
    2. Lost
    3. Blue Heelers
    4. JAG
    5. McLeod's Daughters
    6. Desperate Housewives
    7. Water Rats (it was axed, but still one of my faves)
    8. Always Greener (it was axed too, but still one of my faves)
    9. Dancing With The Stars
    10. All Saints

    Ok, post yours...

Do reality shows count too, because this is the drama board, lol. Anyway, without question my favorite show is Degrassi.

I'm going to be more succinct, a la "High Fidelity" with an Alltime Top 5 list of exemplary television shows that you can watch over and over again, and still find new elements or ideas within the teleplay writing to enjoy each watching:

-The Prisoner (1960's, the most surreal show ever broadcast on regular network television, way pre-cable era!)
-Buffy The Vampire Slayer (too contemporary for most to see that its elements were really groundbreaking while still being intellectual, media-savvy, and fun, but for the masses! [like Shakespeare!])
-Law & Order (superior story-telling, complex stories making sense within themselves; lotsa grey area like real life, without the good guys winning; floated great conspiracy theories based upon real life, like O.J. disposing of the murder weapon through a jet's toilet system.)
-Lost (pretty darn superior for a spankin' new show)
-Monty Python's Flying Circus (intellectual silliness by the over-educated, for the over-educated.)
