Uncle Benny
Uncle Benny is an obvious reference to Uncle Ben brand rice, which came under fire for referring to their Afrian American spokesman as "Uncle". They promoted Uncle Ben to "chairman of the board" in a new advertising campaign in March of 2007. (edit) Pulp Fiction
Wooldoor injecting Ling Ling's heart with adrenaline and Ling Ling coming to with the hypodermic still in his chest is a nod to the 1994 movie Pulp Fiction. (edit) 1980's References:
In the young Captain Hero's room, there are posters for the popular arcade game Pac Man and a Star Trek movie poster. He also said "Walk Like an Egyptian" which was a popular song released by the Bangles in 1986. (edit) Foster Homes:
The places where Foxxy goes to try to find Ling-Ling are: the mansion of famous comic strip creation Little Orphan Annie, a house where a T.V. cartoon series Transformer lives, and the Looney Tunes "Duck Amuck" short. (edit) Looney Tunes:
The scene where Foxxy walks into a blank piece of paper and is changed into a weird creature is a reference to the Chuck Jones Looney Tunes masterpiece "Duck Amuck" where Bugs Bunny (as an unseen animator) messes with Daffy Duck. (edit)
