E-Ring: Episode Trivia
TRIVIA GUIDE
- Colonel McNulty was recalled to service at some point (most likely after 9/11 or during Afganistan). He says in the episode that he was selling condo's in Florida before being called back to active duty.
- Each character was introduced by a back story that was told by another character on the show.
- Goof: When Tisniewski leaves the Pentagon, the seat had been removed from his bicycle so he rode home without it. When he brings the bike inside the house, the seat is back on the bike, however when he gets back to the Pentagon with the bike it is gone again.
- goofCol. McNulty said that he was chasing Tariq for 3 years but in the pilot and the episode The Forgotten he said that he came back on active duty two years ago.
- We learn in this episode that JT and Sonny have a past, we don't exactly know yet on what level, but JT tells McNulty that he doesn't know her "in a biblical way".

- The depictions of London, and England more generally, are also very inaccurate:
There is not, nor has there ever been, a "King's Crossing Station" in London, as referred to twice in the episode, rather it should have been King's Cross Station.
The English police officer's uniform is also about 20 years out of date, and whistles have not been used by the Metropolitan Police, or indeed any other forces, in a rather long time.
Further, MI5 agents, not being police, do not carry ID of the sort shown in the episode, if at all. - Surveillance video allegedly shows a terrorist and companion entering the United States on foot "just west of Buffalo." However, the U.S.-Canada border anywhere near Buffalo is entirely water.
- The depiction of the Washington D.C. Metro system is inaccurate in a number of respects. A major factual inaccuracy is that the Chinatown Metro station is not on the Blue Line; however, the Yellow line could have been referenced as both the Chinatown and Pentagon are Yellow line stops.
The set used for the Pentagon Metro station in no way resembles a D.C. Metro station (and the Pentagon station, which has one track per level, even less than most). Although this and the related errors (signage not used in the D.C. system, different types of garbage receptacles) could be easily excusable as production errors, there were still additional factual inaccuracies, such as the announcement of a train to be arriving from Chinatown (no such announcements are made; a train would not be from Chinatown, which is not the end of a line, or any other starting points but rather identified by the station that is its final destination).
- The depictions of London, and England more generally, are also very inaccurate:

- Tisnewski will be traveling more instead of staying in the pentagon and watching the action.
- Samantha Liston's promotion is also confirmed.
- Tisnewski is promoted to Lt. Col.
- On the map showing a proposed independent Basque state, the region is labeled Euskara
Euskara is the Basque language word for the Basque people. Their language has not been proved to be related to any other European language.
