Back to the Grind puts icons in the jobs they played on TV; Loni Anderson, Harry Anderson among participants.

Reality TV can only do so much with old celebrities. They've been put in a house together, become policemen, and tried to find love, but now, they'll be going to work.

TV Land has announced that its newest reality show Back to the Grind will debut on July 18. The program sees television stars of years past try to actually perform the job they pretended to do on TV.

The participants in the show's first season will definitely ring some bells in boob tube addicts' heads. WKRP in Cincinnati's Loni Anderson will work in a radio station, Hanging with Mr. Cooper's Mark Curry will coach a high school basketball team, and The Jeffersons' Sherman Hemsley will try his hand in the dry-cleaning business.

Other actors signed up for the show include Night Court's Harry Anderson, CHiPs' Erik Estrada, Good Times' Jimmie Walker, and St. Elsewhere's Ed Begley, Jr.

Back to the Grind will air every week beginning July 18 at 10:30 p.m.

While I'm always a fan of Harry Anderson and Night Court is my Fave past comedy, I doubt he will be handing out real sentencing. Real TV shows can only go too far. The Celeb cop show sank fast.

It's sad to see what former celebrities will do to remain in the spotlight. While I normally detest most reality shows, this one might be funny to watch.

Pfft. I'd rather watch the CCTV tapes of Gary Coleman sitting at his a desk, during his days as a security guard.
