Face The Nation discusses with former New York Mayor Ed Koch, Sam Waterston, political consultant Ed Rollins and John Harris from politico.com the 2008 presidential race and the chances for a third party.

Koch graduated from New York University Law School. (edit) During Koch's time as Mayor of New York City he managed to balance its budget. (edit) Koch once walked across the Brooklyn Bridge during a union strike with many Manhattan commuters. (edit) Koch was at one time romantically linked by the press to former Miss America, and TV game show panelist Bess Myerson. (edit) Koch has never been married. In 1977 during the mayoral election his sexuality came into question. Even the anti-Koch slogan adopted by his non-supporters reflected this by expressing "Vote for Cuomo, not the homo." (edit)

Koch (in reference to his sexuality): What do I care? I'm 73 years old. I find it fascinating that people are interested in my sex life at age 73. It's rather complimentary! But as I say in my book, my answer to questions on this subject is simply 'F*** off.' (edit) Koch: There was always a love-hate relationship with New York and the rest of the country, but I made them feel more love than hate. (edit) Koch: I said, to be a New Yorker you have to live here for six months, and if at the end of the six months you find you walk faster, talk faster, think faster, you're a New Yorker. (edit)
