Joe Namath was indeed the perfect quarterback for his era. As the nation changed through the latter 1960s, Namath embodied the New Era, if only for a time.
Ed married Sylvia Weinstein on April 28, 1930 and they remained married until her death on March 16, 1973. They had one child together.

Ed was the real starter of variety shows. Ed had some of the biggest up and coming stars on his show. Many got their start on his show. The show ran from 1948 until 1971.
