- Phil's Scheme: Phil decides that he and Eli should be featured in the Stuckeyville Progress, as an example of racial harmony. Shirley takes pictures of him with Eli, who wants no part of this scheme. Phil even convinces the Progress' editor to come to Stuckeybowl. However, the editor is much more interested in Eli's recovery than Phil's racial harmony story. edit »
- Mike: She was nothing compared to my wife, who's a babe and three quarters. edit »
- Dr. Jerome: Excuse me, Dr. Burton, I hate to interrupt, but I need you in the exam room. Could you please take your thumb out of your ass and join me? edit »
- Mike: This is where all the magic happens, if you call throat cultures magic. edit »
- Mike (thinking about going back to college): It's never too late to learn Japanese. edit »
- Carol: Can you tell me you are 100% certain that you do not want to be with me? Because if you can, just say the word and I will walk right out that door. edit »
- Ed: First time I ever laid eyes on you was in ninth grade. Mr. Rourke's biology class. I looked across the room, and you were pouring water into a test tube. You were wearing a blue shirt with white crisscross strings right down the sides. And the moment I saw you I just went 'Carol'. From the day I came back here to Stuckeyville, and I walked to your classroom to ask you out, and all the other times I asked you out since, you just kept telling me the same thing over and over and over again. That I didn't fall in love with you, but rather some high school kid's fixated version of you. And when I thought about it and I thought about it, I thought about it, I thought about it, and I thought about it, and I decided you're right. I didn't fall in love with you. I fell in love with that girl wearing the blue shirt with the white crisscross strings down the side that I never said a single word to in high school. So I decided to be with Frankie. So I went to look for you. I went to look for you to tell you. I looked all over. I looked in the Smiling Goat, I looked at your high school, I looked at your house. I looked all over, all over. And a funny thing happened. Everywhere I went, I saw us. Laughing, crying, arguing. And I realized, yeah, maybe I fell in love with that girl wearing the blue shirt with the white crisscross strings down the sides in high school, but now, now, I love you. I love you. I love every part of you. And we have to be together.
Carol: Can I please kiss you now? edit » - Mike: What's going on, whatcha doing?
Ed: Ah, not a whole heck of a lot. Just trying to make the toughest decision of my life, is all.
Mike: Wonton or hot and sour?
(Ed shoots Mike a raised eyebrow.)
Mike: Most of my tough decisions involve Chinese food. edit » - Eli: You missing the point, man. Not even William Shakespeare could smooth-talk a woman in one of these things, man.
Phil: No, you missing the point. Girls reject dudes. That's what they do. And why does a girl reject a dude? Maybe she don't like the sound of his voice. Maybe she don't like his threads. And, yes, maybe she don't like his wheelchair. But we dudes. So we pick ourselves up and we go back for more. What?
Eli: You talking like me now?
Phil: I might have been. edit »
