Eli and Jordan have problems with regular clientele and keeping up with costs with their new firm. Eli convinces Jim Cooper, a billionaire philanthropist, to lead the case on trial drug testing. Eli is put in a difficult situation when he learns Cooper's son wants no part in the trial. Meanwhile, Keith represents Patti's daughter on a DUI arrest, while Maggie works to to find the traitor amongst their midst.
Read Full Recap » (warning: possible spoilers!)I knew Jordan said he and Eli would be starting the new firm together but I didn't expect their relationship to evolve that much and for him to actually have his name on the door. I was a little disappointed by the fact that Taylor didn't seem to mind the fact that she wasn't offered the possibility of becoming a name partner and the fact that her father preferred her somewhat unbalanced ex.
Though I still feel Jordan has changed too much, too quickly. Just shortly before the last season ended he still hated Eli for lying about the aneurysm. I'd be a little sad for us to find out there's something medically wrong with Jordan and that that caused his behavior.
Splitting the firm in two, I don't think any legal drama I've seen had done this before. It is risky and I admire the writers of this show for taking this chance.
