The Ellen DeGeneres Show is a talk show in its sixth season, recently surpassing its 900th episode. Hosted by star of Ellen and The Ellen Show, Ellen Degeneres. Featuring a unique mix of celebrity interviews, chart-topping and up-and-coming musical performances, audience participation games, and segments spotlighting real life stories, and amazing talent throughout all age-groups.

Ellen encourages a "negative-free zone", and trys to make everybody feel as if they are in the studio, even if they're sat at home. She regularily rings viewers and throughout regular segments within the show encourages people at home to send in videos, letters and even leave voicemail messages.

Unlike other talk-shows were the host is accompanied by a houseband, Ellen is joined by a in-house DJ. Since the start of the series, there has been four DJ's. Scotty K appeared in the first month of the show, Tony Okungbowa was the resident DJ from October in series 1 through to May in 2006 (Series 3), as Tony left Jonny Abrahams (Series 4) took over. With season five, the new DJ Stryker took over, however left at the end of the season and Tony Okungbowa returned for season six. What is a huge part of the show, as at the start of each programme, after delivering her opening monologue, Ellen dances with the audience, following on from this she does her signature dance across her coffee table.

Throughout the show Ellen has developed quite a few catchphrases, most popular is the 'KAAAA!' used to calm down the audience, as Ellen enters the set.less «

  I have just tidied up the forums, unfortunately some people have being reported for spamming and being offensive towards Ellen for her lifestyle choices. I also noticed alot of questions are posted in individual threads, personally I think having one thread for peoples questions will make it alot easier for people to avoid repeating questions. So from now on, I would appreciate it if people would post their questions about the show here and then people can reply when and/or if they have an answer. less «

  I think you'd have to work hard NOT to like Ellen DeGeneres. hide « show »

  Not many people can make the ordinary so relatable, and comically so, at the same time.
  In an age of sophomoric, lowest-common-denominator humour, Ellen seems a master of a more far-reaching comedy. She takes as much pleasure in interviewing the average guy/gal as she does fellow celebrities, and the joy she finds in life and exhibits on her show is enviable.
  I have yet to see a guest who was truly uncomfortable under her questioning, and while she has asked "what inquiring minds want to know", she never seems to go for the jugular.
  I don't watch every day, but her show is always a nice place to visit when I have the time during the day, and to put my feet up and have a cup of tea in her company. Long may she reign!

  Hi Ellen man i hope this get to you i am haveing it so hard out here i just moved to Florida in West Palm Beach im from fl, but i moved to Austin Texas with my 2 boyz and i meet a good man name Dewane Moore that love's my boys and now to are family i have a lil Girl that just had a b-day and she is 1 years old on 03/07/09 and now wheir we live are rent is up and i dont have the money to move so i have to resign my for my apt. but my job they cut my weeks down so my check are short now, i see your show all the time im at work but my man soon to be hubby tape thim for me. And the Apt that we live in is not big at all with 3 kids and a man not going to work out so if you think you can sweet can you tell me what can i do. your friend Lori Herrera and Family .

  Ellen Degeneres hosts the talk show of a lifetime. She interviews celebrities and people with a story. Her show is jam packed with dancing, games and always a good laugh. hide « show »

  This show is amazing. I have never laughed so hard in my life. She is so funny and I will never understand anyone that does not find her absolutely hilarious. I could sit and youtube videos every single day of her show and never get bored. Every day and every interview there is a funny moment. Everything she brings to the show is special. I feel like we need more people like her in the world making us laugh. Her show brings a smile on everyones faces around the world and we need more of that. With the high stress world we live in now a days this light hearted show is just what you need. Her bits with Paris Hilton are always the best. The clip where they go clubbing together is one of the funnies things I have ever seen. She is just so real and the comedy doesn't ever seem forced. A simple hour of this show can put a smile on ANYBODYS face. It doesn't matter who she is interviewing. Its just as entertaining.

  Ellen at her best - very funny and so genuine. As I am in Ireland we are would you believe it four weeks behind the actual show. I love the way she makes the guests feel so relaxed and then all those dancing moves - That guy from Criminal Minds - whew.. hide « show »

  From when she comes on stage, the crowd go mad for minutes and then she tells her stories which I think are the best parts - I loved the story she did on the skunk which she found in somebody's garden and how she tried to release it from the trap without getting sprayed on. Then its the dance scene - that girl can certainly shake it!! Lets just say I love Ellen - you go girl.... I just hope one day that she finally gets to catch Mr George Clooney... can't wait for that. You go girl. x x

  Watching Ellen is pure enjoyment for me. There is no other personality on T.V. that comes close to her in demonstrating vulnerability, good humor and good will. She took to her bed on stage when recovering and I realized that she was nuts. But then I thought, a crazy woman in bed, now what's wrong with that?
  
  She's a beautiful soul and the rest ain't bad.
