Great cast in a decent show hide « show »

This prime time soap had one of the greatest casts ever. Dennis Weaver, Maud Adams, Richard Dean Anderson, Sela Ward, Andrew Stevens, Jill St. John, Susan Dey, Robert Loggia and more. It was a soap about a military family named Mallory. Dennis Weaver was the patriarch, Maud Adams his love interest and Susan Dey, Doran Clark and Stephanie Dunnam his three daughters. There was a ton of turmoil and drama, but this show didn't seem to connect to viewers. I watched it faithfully and liked it a lot, but it wasn't one of those shows that I was all that upset about being cancelled. It's too bad it didn't work because every single cast member has had some success in television or film. The only jarring thing about it was the sudden recast of Patrick O'Neal's character with Robert Vaughn. Still, good job by all. I just wish it hadn't ended on a cliffhanger. But I think everyone expected to be back for season two.
