Emily Bergl was born on April 25, 1975 in England. When she was six years old, Emily and her family moved to the United States eventually moved to Chicago, Illinois. She attended Glenbrook South High School, Grinnell College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and English in 1997. Afterwards, she moved to New York to pursue an acting career.
