- Killface's Ring tone
When Killface's cell phone rings during his ventriloquist act with Trent's torso, the ring tone is Dixie, a popular American song that was made famous during the 19th century. edit »
- Upon later airings of this episode, during the scenes where Taqu'ils' song (as performed by Killer Mike) is playing in the background, the refrain chorus of "All that j!zz. You know how it is..." has now been edited to say "all that T&A". edit »
- First appearance of Sinn, Killface's sexy female minion with a robotic arm. edit »
- Killface's reluctant assistant Valerie, referred to as Val, who mostly communicates with shrieks and groans and whom Killface forces to wear a Geisha outfit, had her character design based upon Adult Swim Programming Director Kim Manning. edit »
- Brendon Small, creator of Home Movies and co-creator of Metalocalypse, has an appearance in this episode as USC Film School alumni twins Trent and Brent. This will not be a recurring role since they both are blasted in half by Killface. edit »
- Killface has a son named Simon. He is a blonde-haired child version of Killface who is slow, emotionally disturbed, listens to gangsta-rap, and mumbles everything he says. edit »
- Killface: (imitating a ventriloquist act with Trent's severed torso) So uh.. heard you went to the doctor and uh... he had a bit of bad news for you, is that right?
Killface: (speaking as Trent) Yeah! Turns out I have termites. edit » - Killface: There's your twenty billion, Brent! Drink it in! The fusion chamber alone cost nine billion. The thrusters another four! You think there's just heaps of money left over for - WHAT DID YOU CALL IT?
Brent: Uh (clears throat) Media Buy.
Killface: MEDIA BUY!?!
Valerie: Please don't kill us!
Killface: Please don't make it so appealing! edit » - Killface: ...and here I am reduced to postcards, the dry hump of marketing strategies. edit »
- Brent: (to Killface) Ya f**kin' kidnap us, right, you drag us up here, ya sh** on every strategy we come up with - and by the way, that web promotion was tiiiiiight, but the bottom line is, you don’t have the f**king budget to run with the big dogs! Now, do you! (begins making barking noises).
Killface: (scoffs) Are you finished? edit » - (the intro to the show, Sealab 2021 begins, only to dissolve into static and a large closeup of Killface)
Killface: Greetings, America. I.. am... Killface. Don't bother flicking your infernal remotes, I've taken over your airwaves. Now, I trust you're all comfy on your tacky sofas from 'rooms to go', lots of nibbles close at hand. Well, tuck in and why not smoke between gobbles. Yes, go for the gusto, America. Live like there's no tomorrow because as far as you squalored lot are concerned there very much isn't. Behold, the instrument of your doom...(scene cuts away to show a massive, ominous looking device and then cuts back) I call it.. the Annihilatrix! and when it is completed, a million gigatons of thrust will propel the Earth directly into the Sun... so look upon my work ye mighty and despair... edit »
- Killface: It's not too Leno-y?
Jay Leno, at the time of the episode, was host of The Tonight Show. Killface's comment refers to Leno's background of a New York City skyline. Also, Trent mentions other Leno staples, including Kevin Eubanks, Leno's band leader since 1995. edit » - Napoleon Bonaparte
The painting of Killface and Simon in the house is an homage to Napoleon Bonaparte, former ruler of France. The painting is based on the work In His Study, by Jacques-Louis David. edit » - Vlasic Pickles
Killface: You know who I like is that Pickle stork...that they had...from the pickles...
When Killface does his rant on storks, he makes a reference to the stork logo of Vlasic Pickles, which was introduced in the early 1970's. edit » - Family Guy
Killface: ...now what the deuce is up with those couplings?
"What the deuce" is an expression popularized by its usage by Stewie Griffin on the hit animated sitcom Family Guy. As well as still airing on its original network of Fox, the program also is shown on TBS and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. edit » - Cap'n Crunch
Killface chastises his son, Simon for eating Cap'n Crump cereal. This is an obvious parody of the actual breakfast cereal Cap'n Crunch. The image of the mascot of the Cap'n on the box has been replaced by Simon's favorite rapper Taqu'il. edit »
