Cynthia Hooper is the new desk clerk. Carla and Benton argue over whether or not Reese should be circumcised, among other things. Carter believes that Doyle is giving Anna special treatment when Anna is assigned all the interesting cases while he is stuck suturing. Kerry puts her newfound power to use rather quickly, and annoys basically everyone. Al has an accident at his job site and gets blood on a co-worker, spurring Jeanie to convince him to tell his co-worker about his HIV status. Jerry manages to blow up the ambulance bay entrance using a patient's rocket launcher. Carter visits his first laundromat with Anna, but he tells her he's been to many. Mark goes on a date with Heather, and they end up at her place, but things don't go quite as planned. Carol hears an errant comment that strains her trust in Doug.

Carla: I was just concerned about his health.
Peter: My son's health is on my mind 24 hours a day.
Carla: Our son! You can't divide our son's life into categories, like I'm in charge of health and you do the diapers, no. You use the Medicine to hide behind so we don't talk.
Peter: We're talking now.
Carla: This isn't a conversation cause you don't care what I think or feel. I may not be your choice for the mother of your child, but we're gonna have to share.
Peter: Like you shared with the circumcision, right?
Carla: I was mad. Come on, come clean Peter, your attitude about circumcision has nothing to do with his health, it has to do with you wanting him to look like you in the shower.
Peter: So what if I do? Carla, he's my son.
Carla: Then why didn't you say that? I understand that. Instead of you blowing off a lot of medical steam that don't make a lot of damn sense.
Peter: Carla, what happened to that boy's penis should have been left up to me. (edit) Carol: What's the matter, Doug. Need some duct tape!? (edit)
