What do you get when you mix construction, comedy, music and mania? Chicago native Eric Stromer.
Born and raised in Evanston, Ill., Eric excelled in football, track and a love of the arts. An early break in commercials led him to the University of Colorado theater department, where he stayed exactly one week. After realizing his terrible mistake, he desperately tried to return home but was forced against his will to remain in school and actually pay for things by working in construction. Eric thinks he either painted or put crown molding in just about every house in Colorado for four years until graduation.
Upon graduation, vowing never again to work in construction, Eric moved west to Los Angeles and immediately began remodeling houses. With occasional stints on soaps, television shows, and features, Eric's construction business began to flourish. Eric founded Big House Construction inc. Eric has remodeled homes for Mel Gibson, Dylan McDermott, Elijah Woods and Jasmine Guy as well as Sally and Erv Stromer (his own mom and dad!).
Eric is an accomplished singer/songwriter who has written and performed music for The Drew Carey Showtime Special, Christopher Walkin's film The Wild Side and numerous television shows. Eric also produced, scored, and starred in The Acting Thing, a comedy short that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won top honors at the Houston Film festival for best comedy short.
