Erick was born in northern Indian town in India called Darjeeling which is situated close to Nepal. Later, he came to USA as he got a scholarship to College of Charleston and settled there. He appeared in roles which spans into different ethnicities. He had access to movies from his childhood, since his family had owned theaters. He can speak number of languages such as Nepali, Bengali, Hindi and Gujarat in addition to English. He has worked as a guest star in number of science fiction TV productions such as Babylon 5, The X-Files, Stargate SG1 and Heroes.
