Eriq La Salle: Biography

La Salle is one of four children. He has a B.F.A. Degree in theatre from New York University. In adition, he studied two years at Juillard. La Salle acted in many plays on and off brodway. His big break came when he played "Mike Rivers" in the soap opera One Life to Live in 1968. Following that he moved to LA and began acting on television.

Eriq has been nominated for 5 SAG awards. From 1997-2001 he was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for his work on ER. He won in 1997, 1998 and 1999.(edit)
