Eriq has been nominated for 5 SAG awards. From 1997-2001 he was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for his work on ER. He won in 1997, 1998 and 1999. (edit) Eriq played Darryl Jenks in the Eddie Murphy movie Coming to America in which he sported a "jheri curl". (edit) While on ER, Eriq appeared in six NBC The More You Know public service announcements on the topics of drug abuse, child abuse, family violence, mentoring, teacher appreciation, and violence prevention.
