Notes

The town of Gilroy, California makes it's 3rd and final reference in the series. First in "Broadcast Blues" on Cynthia Mills' broadcast, in "The Kiss" when Tawny mentions her father is from there, and now in reference to a football game Donnie was in. (edit)
Louis first gets his drum set in this episode (production number 303) even though in "Your Toast (ep. #301), he already has them. Obviously, this is one reason why this episode aired before "Your Toast" did. (edit)
Character with no lines: Smitty, who works in the pawn shop; Mrs. Dutton, the woman Louis sells fake vomit to at the yard sale. (edit)
Once again, it sounds like Jim Wise, who plays Coach Tugnut, is doing the voice-over work, this time as the announcer on the Mr. Pookie commercial. (edit)
Executive producer David Brookwell directed this episode. (edit)

Quotes

Ren: (screams of happiness)
Eileen: What happened?
Steve: Ren, what is it?
Ren: It's Mr. Pookie! He came back to home!!
Donnie: Oh, I canīt believe that he had found the way to home! (edit)
Louis: A drumset would be a wonderful addition to my family of things. (edit)
Mr. Stevens: Louis, where are your pants?!?
Louis: I sold them for six bucks. (edit)
Coach Tugnut: Someday when you're old...
Donnie: Like you? (edit)
Louis: My fault? I didn't put the stinky sock monkey in the box in the first place, Ren! (edit)

Trivia

add »
The telephone number (555-0199) on the flyer given out by the Stevens family is the same as a number used on a flyer in the episode "Educating Ethan" of the Lizzie McGuire TV series. (edit)
Continuity: When Steve Stevens is looking at the unused junk Louis has accumulated, one of the items is the churro machine seen previously in "Get a Job." Also among the junk: the suit of armour Louis was hoping to buy in "Secret World of Girls." (edit)
During the yard sale, in the first shot of Donnie's area where he has all his sports stuff, the sign behind him reads "Donny's Corner". "Donnie" is misspelled here. In all the shots after this one, there are sneakers, or some other equipment hanging over the "y's", hiding the spelling mistake. (edit)
When Eileen Stevens goes into Ren's room to see if Ren is alright, the table with the Effiel Tower lamp is beside her bed on the left side of the TV, BUT when Ren goes to bed and finds Mr. Pookie, the table is on the other side (hence, the right side of the TV). (edit)
The price tag of $200 put on Mr. Pookie at the pawn shop looks like it uses a backward cent sign rather of a dollar sign. (edit)

The episode title is a take off on Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, the first of a slew of educational game shows for children, this one focusing on geography. It spawned computer games and many other spinoffs like Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? The original program was hosted by Greg Lee and featured actress Lynne Thigpen as the Chief. (edit)
Loius: How 'bout I throw in the Flashdance T-shirt and matching headband?

Flashdance is a 1983 movie starring Jennifer Beals as a young woman in Pittsburgh who works as a welder by day and an exotic dancer by night, but who dreams of joining a professional dance company. The movie had a big influence on fashions of the time, such as the off-the-shoulder sweater and leg warmers. (edit)
