Ray walks into his parents house. Robert comes in to show everyone an article about Frank's friend Leon being arrested for selling fake merchandise. Ray bought Debra's engagement ring from Leon and now fears it's fake. He plans to steal it from Debra so he can get it replaced.

While Debra is sleeping, Ray tries to get the ring off her finger. Nothing works, so he tries to put butter around her finger, but she wakes up. The next morning Debra is in the shower and Ray sees the ring sitting next to the tub. He grabs it. Later Debra is frantically searching for her ring when Amy arrives. Robert walks in with a gift for Amy. Amy gives Robert a ties, while Robert gives Amy an iguana.

Ray returns later with the ring after replacing the diamond. He hides it in the couch when Debra comes downstairs. Debra confesses that she lost her ring and Ray pretends to console her. She also admits that after the got engaged, she had the original stone replace with her grandmother's diamond worth $15,000. Ray consoles Debra and keeps her from looking in the couch. As she turns around Ray grabs the ring, but she turns back around and is ecstatic because she thinks Ray found it.

Ray puts the ring on Debra's finger, but her joy turns to anger when she sees the diamond in the ring has been changed. She looks up at Ray and says "What did you do?" Ray admits he changed the stone, and they continue to yell at each other. Later, Ray and Debra are in a dumpster looking for the ring.
