Inspired by how well the Barones got along at Thanksgiving dinner, Debra is intent on finding a way to improve her relationship with Marie. When Debra spends the whole day cooking with Marie, it's the perfect opportunity to test out her new "shrug it off and let the criticisms roll off your back" attitude that she feels will win Marie over. Or will it? Meanwhile, Ray gets roped into having Frank and Robert accompany him to a car show, where he has his own method of getting along with his family.

Debra: So, Ray, what do you think I should make for Thanksgiving this year?
Ray: Wait, what? I thought my mom was having Thanksgiving this year. You know, she said that's what she was doing, and then you said... we were going to go over—
Debra: Calm down, Ray! Your mommy's making dinner. I just thought I'd bring something. (edit) Ally: The boys are blocking the TV!
Debra: Honey, do you remember what I told you? Just ignore them, and see what happens.
Ally: (pauses) When's Daddy coming home? (edit) Debra: I could kill Amy! Cooking with Marie.
Ray: Yeah, well... she's drunk. (edit) Debra: Ray, I wanted to hit her with a frying pan!
Ray: Get in line! (edit)

No ThanksSuperb "Fine example" Debra is asked by a drunk Amy after Thanksgiving dinner to help Marie and her with dinner for Sunday.
